Miele Deluxe Combination Floor AttachmentThe Miele SBD550-3 Combo Floor Tool can be used with any Miele vacuum cleaner. It has a button that lets you control whether you want to use the tool on carpets or bare floors. On the bare floor setting, there are two rows of brush strip along the front and the back to allow you to gently clean without scratching your floors. Notches along the brushes allow dirt to easily enter the nozzle. On the carpet and rug setting, the brush strips are recessed, allowing the channeled steel sole plate to contact the carpet, pulling air through the nap to clean it. A soft, non-scratching roller wheel allows the nozzle to move easily over the floor.

Miele S6 / S6000 series Floor Test: Miele's floor and accessory tools are tested on miles and miles of different flooring. The tools and brushes are carefully and methodically inspected, just like the vacuum cleaners. Finally all tools must pass a drop test where they are repeatedly dropped from a height of almost three feet. When they pass this test then, and only then, are they ready to proceed with production.
